I'm proud to announce that Congresswoman Judy Chu has endorsed my campaign for re-election to the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees.

Before serving in Congress, Congresswoman Chu spent 20 years teaching psychology in our community colleges, including at Los Angeles City College and East Los Angeles College. She understands firsthand that community colleges provide opportunity at every stage of life for students beginning their education, preparing to transfer, earning a degree or credential, building new skills, changing careers or returning to school to create a better future for themselves and their families.

That makes her support especially meaningful to me.

On the Board, I have worked to expand access, strengthen transfer and career pathways and ensure students have the support they need to complete their education. That includes opening doors for multilingual students, addressing food and housing insecurity and connecting more students with the education and skilled training that lead to good careers.

Congresswoman Chu's endorsement gives our campaign important momentum but endorsements alone do not reach voters.
